The MISE Foundation was born out of a deep love for rural Africa, a place we proudly call "nyumbani" – home. Inspired by the founder's experiences growing up in rural Kenya, we are committed to transforming the sanitation landscape in African schools. Decades after independence, many schools still rely on unhygienic pit latrines, creating unsanitary conditions for children. Our mission is to change this narrative by providing access to safe, dignified sanitation. We believe that every child deserves a healthy learning environment to reach their full potential.
To improve sanitation in rural African schools by implementing innovative solutions and engaging local communities. Our goal is to provide access to safe and dignified toilets, fostering healthier learning environments and enhancing educational outcomes.
To create a future where every child in Africa has access to safe and hygienic sanitation facilities, empowering them to thrive in a healthy and supportive learning environment. We envision a continent where improved sanitation standards pave the way for educational excellence and community well-being.
