The MISE Foundation was born out of a deep love for rural Africa, a place we proudly call "nyumbani" – home. Inspired by the founder's experiences growing up in rural Kenya, we are committed to transforming the water and sanitation landscape in schools and villages in rural Kenya. Our teams work in some of the most challenging environments around in rural Kenya providing WASH solutions, which stands for water, sanitation and hygiene.
Decades after independence, access to safe water and sanitation is still a challenge in a lot of households. According to UNICEF “41% of Kenyans don’t have access to safe drinking water, and 71% don’t have basic sanitation.”
The Mise Foundation is dedicated is to change this narrative by providing access to clean water, safe, dignified, and sustainable sanitation solutions. We believe that every child deserves a healthy learning environment to reach their full potential.
To improve sanitation in rural schools by providing access to safe and dignified toilets, as well as providing sustainable water solutions by drilling boreholes in the school communities in rural Kenya
To create a future where every child in rural Kenya has access to safe and hygienic sanitation facilities and to alleviate water scarcity in rural Kenya villages
